There is a river that flows, Full of the water of life, Which no fire can ever quench, For Christ hath overcome. There is a spring of life In my soul this day, That never shall run dry— Christ is that Fountain of Life. It rises deep within, A well no man can seal; Though trials rage without, Its power I yet shall feel. No drought can touch its stream, No shadow dim its light; For it is fed from Heaven, And flows both day and night. O blessed, living water, So pure, so rich, so free— It springs from Christ my Saviour, And ever flows in me.
