In this episode, “Good Works for the Service of God,” we reflect upon the Collect for the Seventeenth Sunday after Trinity from the Book of Common Prayer, together with the teaching of Ephesians 4:1–6. We consider the Christian’s calling to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith he is called, and how true good works flow from the grace of God rather than human merit. With humility, meekness, patience, and unity of spirit, believers are called to live lives that honour Christ and are fruitful in His service.
