Although He was not a warrior, He fought the biggest battle of all— Between sin and death, Heaven against hell. He was Christ, who raged against sin, Who went to the cross, not blaming His captives. He was prepared to die for a dying world, For the plan of God, that many would be freed. He stood in my place— Condemned, He shed blood by grace. Then He cried for my pardon: “It is finished.” Death could not keep Him; He rose as King Jesus— Lord, Saviour, and Redeemer. Those who were once locked in wrath— Forgiven, freed, justified, joyous— By the mercy of God, Many will live who were once dead in sin.
