O, that day when I am free from sinning— That day when the boasting grave And death’s sharp sting shall claim no victory Over my mortal frame and soul. I look with longing to behold the face of my Saviour, My King, my Lord, and my Master; The day when I am freed from this sinful heart— Till then, may God be honoured and faithfully served. Father, in the spirit of Thy holy service, Keep Thy redeemed steadfast in Thy work; In this world that is Thine, draw many unto Thee, That all may be done for Thy Name’s sake alone. O strengthen the weary, and steady the weak; Let not our hands grow slack in the field. Fix our eyes on that blessed and glorious hope, When faith shall give way to sight. In Christ’s name, Amen.
