At The Grave

At the grave, we say goodbye
And tempted to bury all hope,
Our hearts ache, and our eyes cry
How do we go on, how do we cope?

God knows our sorrow,
and we will not walk alone
A brighter day tomorrow
Peace shall be known

How can we trust you?
To deliver us from pain
O’ Lord, when grief consumes,
Reminds us of Christ’s great gain

When we can’t see the way
Help us to believe, and say?
God is good, God is good
He is my hope and stay
