The Word Alone

Jesus, you came to us
In grace and love,
Came as one of us
God’s own Son of Salvation,

You came to clean our hearts of sin
To pour in your truth and grace,
By your powerful love and mercy
Hold us up in joy and peace,

Living God, Praise unto you we gladly give
Lead us to Calvary’s tide, to learn
About your pains bore at the cross,
From death you rose to bring life to all,

Setting us free from the curse of sin
Hallelujah, Lord of love, living for you
Thank you, Almighty Lord
For we share in the knowledge of Christ

Your true Word, sets us free from bondage
In our lives your voice breaks through
To guide, heal, comfort and change us
