(11:2). of the circumcision. Jewish Christians.

(11:23). purpose of heart. See Dan. 1:8 & 2 Tim. 3:10.

(11:25). Paul sojourned in Arabia was just prior to this.

(11:26). first called Christians in Antioch. Only appears 3 times in Scripture here in Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28 and 1 Pet. 4:16. Christians are followers of Christ, they are Christ’s people.

(11:28). Agabus. A prophet hailing from Jerusalem came to Antioch while Barnabas and Saul (Paul) were teaching there. He foretold that a significant famine would strike the Roman Empire. Later, he met Paul again in Caesarea and cautioned him that he would be imprisoned for his beliefs by the Jewish authorities in Jerusalem.

(11:28). Claudius. He ordered all Jews to vacate Rome.
