Life often places us in situations where our own strength simply isn’t enough. Whether it’s the weight of responsibilities, the ache of disappointment, or the battle against temptation, we quickly discover how limited we are. It is in these moments that the name Jehovah Uzzi – The Lord My Strength – becomes more than a title; it becomes a lifeline. Psalm 28:7 says, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.
God never intended for us to walk in our own power. He invites us to lean into His strength, a strength that doesn’t waver with circumstances. Unlike human endurance that fades, His power is steady, sustaining, and sufficient for every trial. When we acknowledge Him as Jehovah Uzzi, we shift from striving to resting in His ability to carry us.
Today, think about the area of your life where you feel the weakest, maybe a relationship, a habit, or a challenge at work. Instead of pushing harder in your own strength, pause and surrender it to Jehovah Uzzi. Pray, “Lord, I cannot do this on my own, but You are my strength. Work through me.” As you release control, watch how His strength enables you to do what you never could alone.
Today let us pray. Father, thank You for being Jehovah Uzzi, the Lord my Strength. When I feel weak, remind me that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. Help me to lean fully on You today. Amen.
